Radar sensor
We use radar sensor technology to accurately measure the fill level in our silos. Our Siltronic control systems can then be used to calculate the volume and weight of the material in the silo.
- Measurement technology: Continuous (up to 120 m), microwave, frequency 80 GHz
- Communication: Signal evaluation 4-20 mA
- Programming: Via HMI with 4 buttons or mobile IQ app with Bluetooth or SIMATIC PDM
- Advantages: Thanks to the 2-wire technology, the effort required in the periphery is very low; contactless and therefore no wear
Silo pilot
We use the silo pilot to record the exact fill level in our silos. Our Siltronic control systems can then be used to calculate the volume and weight of the material in the silo.
- Measurement technology: The simple electromechanical measurement principle makes the probe the ideal sensor for these applications in practice
- Communication: Modbus, Profibus DP or signal evaluation via 4-20 mA
- Programming: Simple parameterisation via buttons on the device display
- Advantages: Suitable for almost all bulk solids and, as a proven technology, reliable for level detection; can also be used with very dusty materials such as PE powder
Weighing
Weighing provides continuous, accurate weight measurement. The contents of your silos can be optimally logged via an interface in your ERP system.
- Measurement technology: Load cell
- Communication: 4-20 mA, Modbus, Profibus DP
- Evaluation: Various measuring amplifiers for your application
Full indicator rotary paddle indicator
The full indicator reliably signals when the maximum fill level in the silo has been reached. This signal can be used, for example, to stop filling by truck at an early stage.

- Advantages: Suitable for almost all bulk materials and, as a proven technology, reliable for limit level detection; very robust
Empty detector rotary paddle detector
The detector can be used to record limit levels, e.g. for empty detection. This important information prevents material shortages from occurring at the plants.

Pressure sensor
In our systems, the pressure sensor is mostly used to measure the pressure in the conveyor line. Since some materials can be damaged by excessive filling pressures, it can be very important to monitor this. When filling a lorry, the lorry can be warned if the filling pressure is too high. In pressure conveying, the pressure sensor can be used to adjust the optimum conveying capacity.
